An alternative way to treat PMDD? Healing with Chinese medicine, nutrition and exercise
Held on 12th May 2021
This presentation is a look at the efficacy of Chinese medicine as an alternative way to treat PMDD. It will look at acupuncture, but also other modalities such as Chinese food therapy, qigong and how the menstrual cycle is viewed in Chinese medicine.
There are lots of questions still to be answered. And I have a big call out at the end. Tune in!
Who is Andrea?
Hi, I am Andrea! Acupuncture nerd and PMDD superhero.
There are many parts to me. There was life before acupuncture and there is now, where acupuncture is my life. I quit my job in 2018 to start a three year degree in acupuncture and I am finishing my student clinic whilst writing my dissertation on PMDD.
I was diagnosed in 2017 by my GP. Or more importantly I turned up with a lot of evidence and asked for a total hysterectomy. Instead I was given fluoxetine and urged to try acupuncture.
PMDD led me to where I am now. I am not grateful for this debilitating and destructive condition but I will not stop until I know a way forward for our community.
